Ana Maria also is a leader with her own techniques in making a unique form of Pietre Dure mosaic art that is made from carefully crafted pieces of semi-precious stone. She also features in her online catalog other stone-related gifts such as mineral specimens, fossils, Utah coprolite, petrified wood, and other unique home décor items that she has cut and polished. She carries a few hand-crafted items by her husband Bryan Burrell and other local Utah craftsman. . She also carries reproduction Native American paleo tools by Bryan or other great knappers from Utah such as Bo Earls . All of the items in Ana’s catalog are made from quality semi-precious gem stone material. These gemstone materials may include malachite, rose quartz, onyx, pearl, rhodochrosite, rhodonite, shell, turquoise, jasper, agate, chalcedony, dinosaur bone, petrified wood, jade, snowflake obsidian and Utah variscite. Much of the semi-precious stone material used in our art is found or mined in Utah. Many of the items no longer are available or legal to be collected on federal lands and so are becoming increasingly rare only to be found in trade shows and old collections and estates of long-time collectors. In addition to the mosaic art, Ana polishes unique stone items such as fossils, coprolite (plain old petrified dinosaur poop), petrified wood, geodes and crystal items; many from Utah.
